title says it all. i figure right now that is my long/mid-range goal. i'm still fairly young eve-wise and figure assfrigs and hacs are a fair goal to set for myself. is it feasible to skip over BS's, just continue doing missions / ratting / noobpvp in an ever pimping-out battlecruiser while i get support skills and other necessary skills up for assfrigs (and eventually hacs)? i figure why should i work to get my heavy guns and other BS stuff rolling if i don't plan to fly the real big stuff.
thanks for helping eliminate noobishness and ignorance.

i would prefer to do the pure turret based assault ships but the bass turd devs put all the med slots on the missile ones . the zealot is doable in terms of medium slots, but the retribution is ridiculous with only 1 flipping slot. so i'd be best serve to at least have decent missile skills but i guess i'll cross that bridge when i get there.

yeah i'm flying a harbinger at the moment and having fun with it. it's gonna be hard going from 7 turrets to 4 :(, hardly makes sense.

Edited by: Chaplain Veritas on 04/10/2007 23:06:27 well i've got my learning skills at a decent spot so i'm working on getting my support skills up. already have t2 armor reps, t2 dmg control, t2 AB's (MWD is plain silly in my cap sucking beast, though i run 'em sometimes depending on the application) just 1 lvl of hull upgrades away from my t2 resist equipment, then working on t2 pulse lasers.
THEN, i hear some people prefer to run a pimped out Harbinger then a Zealot (i can see why, 7 turrets on a harbinger vs 4 on a zealot... PRICE... c'mon!)... . the Sacrilage (aside from being ugly as sin) is gonna require a big training sink to get my missiles up to an adequate level :(. BAH!
so right now i'm just gonna keep upping my skills to make the most of my Binger, and then get rocket skills up in prep for a vengance (can i assume in doing so i'll start getting myself ready for the bigger Khanid boats?). in what applications does the vengance shine? are they fair in gang PvP?
ps: sorry for rambling, sorry for my post crossing over from skills to ship/mod content.

Originally by: Tale Tanxury A little playing with EveMon: a brand-new Amarr character, fresh out of the tube with roughly 800K skill points, can train to Sacrilege in 129 days and a 3.562m SP. Adding in learning skills to IV results in a 91-day training time and a 3.949m SP total.
As for the OP's question, personally I got into a Cerberus at around 16m SP. I have only one char, and my training history has been, shall we say, eclectic to this point.
interesting, yeah that would have craptastic support skills but yeah you could fly around in space in one at least at that much SP hehe.
anyway......
according to evemon i'll have 6.5mill when i get heavy assault ships I along with:
small eng turret V small pulse spec V med eng turret V energy sys op V hull upgrades V weapon upgrade V electronics V engineering V mech V drone V spaceship comm V
assault ship IV long range target IV controlled burst IV sig analysis IV targeting IV energy management IV scout drone IV battlecruise IV med pulse spec I
what else will i need to roll with? seems like 6.5mill is a bit short from the sounds of things, what else would i need to fill out that ship?
EDIT: IIIIIIIIIIIII KNOW WHAT I DID WRONG LOL. forgot the required Amarr Cruiser V i'll need for the boat. that bumps my grand total of about 7.6 million SP. THAT makes a lil more sense. Also bumps my training time to 130 days for the whole enchilada....

Originally by: Ezekiel Sulastin I was at about 11.5m when I stepped into an Ishtar - however, much of the previous training for t2 equipment was complete due to my quest to get a t2-fit cruiser or BC. The only thing I was lacking was t2 heavy drones, but I decided to get the Ishtar first since I would be away from Eve for a while soon after - fly it a bit before I leave, and let heavies finish while I was out. I could get and fit a Deimos, but I have other things to buy at the moment >.>
As anyone ingame can tell you, I love my Ishtar :)
i'd kill to be working towards hopping in an ishtar instead of a gimpy amarr HAC. lord i hate the amarr HACs. ffs why am i even wasting my time???? oh yeah, in hopes they aren't so gimpy by the time i can get in one. ____________________________ the greatest trick the devil ever pulled was convincing the world he didn't exist |
